At night, as she goes out to gather firewood for them, she emphatically warns them not to peek into the bedroom. However, the yamabushi who end up peeking discover human corpses there, and the betrayed woman transforms into an Oni. Based on the waka poem "In Michinoku's Adachigahara, at the Black Mound, they say a demon lurks—is that true?", a Noh play about an Oni has been created, projecting the darkness of the woman's heart.
