YATTOKAME FESTIVAL

Take the next step with
"Traditional Performing Arts"
It all starts with that first small step.
The Yattokame Cultural Festival has journeyed with many travelers through time and culture.
In what is now its 11th year, this town festival will take further steps to continue
its journey towards the next horizon.

From the "Yattokame Cultural Festival'' to the "Yattokame Cultural Festival DOORS.''

Kyogen and Noh theater were cultivated by the Owari Tokugawa family during the Edo period,
with small stories that live on in the heart of the town, and adorable Japanese sweets crafted with skill.
By digging deep into "Nagoya's Traditional Performing Arts", and cherishing the colorful treasures we have found,
we will prepare various doors that will serve as entrances to Nagoya's culture.

The front is wide and the depth is deep.
A festival of Nagoya's culture that makes everyone want to open one door after another.

If you open a door, you will be able to meet a part of Nagoya that you didn't know before.
If you want to know more, please contact us.

Nagoya Wagashi
"Nagoya is a paradise for Japanese sweets!" Lately, such opinions are voiced more and more frequently. The "Yattokame Cultural Festival DOORS" journey through Japanese sweets begins again this year. With the theme of "Going back to the origins of Japanese sweets and simple Japanese sweets from Nagoya,'' writer Minori Kai searches for various "simple'' aspects of Japanese sweets. With a pamphlet (to be issued in mid-October) in hand, why not take a trip inspired by Nagoya's noteworthy Japanese sweets?
